On July 26, 2019, the Department of International Affairs held a meeting with DMU Global, De Montfort University to discuss the English Volunteer program to be held during August 17 - September 21, 2019 at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University under the Memorandum of Understanding with De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. The meeting covered an interview with DMU students who will be volunteering in Thailand as well as the one-year student exchange program at DMU for SSRU students. The application for the program will be open early 2020.

DMU is the public university in Leicester, United of Kingdom established in 1870 or 149 years old now, it comprises 10 halls of residence offering around 3,000 university sourced rooms for 4 faculties; 1) Art, Design, and Humanities (ADH), 2) Business and Law (BAL), 3) Health and Life Sciences (H&LS) and 4) Computing, Engineering and Media (CEM) with 27,000 full and part-time students and 3,240 staff  as the Sustainable Development Hub focusing on Peace, Justice and Strong Institution.
